Dr. Gina Hitchcock of St. Helena, California, laid the foundation
for her career at Wellesley College in Massachusetts. After graduating
with a Bachelor of Arts in American Studies, she enrolled in the
University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine in Philadelphia.
Earning a Doctor of Dental Medicine, Dr. Gina Hitchcock achieved a
Certificate in Clinical Dentistry the following year at the Coleman
Clinic of the University of Pennsylvania.
Joining in the U.S. Navy in 1990, Dr. Gina Hitchcock served as a
dentist in the United States and La Maddalena, Italy, for nine years.
After working at numerous locations in America and abroad, Dr. Gina
Hitchcock was honorably discharged as a Lieutenant Commander in 1999,
and next moved to St. Helena, California, to start a family and open her
own dental practice.
Located in Calistoga, California, Swan Family Dental has been in
operation since 2000. Dr. Gina Hitchcock offers a wide variety of dental
procedures to patients young and old. Serving children, teens, and
adults, Dr. Hitchcock offers free checkups for children under two years
of age. In addition to simple cleanings and teeth whitening, she
provides colored fillings, crowns, veneers, partial and full dentures,

Outside of her dental work, Dr. Gina Hitchcock volunteers for
several local organizations. Helping the members of her community, Dr.
Gina Hitchcock sits on the Board of Directors for the St. Helena Public
Schools Foundation and is the President of the Friends of the St. Helena
Public Library. She also serves as the Chair for the Sierra Club
Outings Committee and as a Master Gardener with the University of
California Cooperative Extension. Over the course of three years, Dr.
Gina Hitchcock made five international trips with The Flying Doctors
(Los Médicos Voladores) to provide free care to underprivileged
communities in northern Mexico and El Salvador.
